"I joined Embody fitness with certain goals and it's safe to say that I reached them and some more. I wanted to look Lean again and lose excess fat all whilst increasing my cardiovascular capability for other sports.

I lost 12kg and 10% of body fat which was above my expectations and this was due to the intense sessions by Harjeet who also monitored the food intake daily and was monitoring weight and fat on a weekly basis. I was also feeling stronger and fitter each week.

As I was becoming leaner he was adjusting my calories and I could also see that I was adding muscle in a controlled way. Harjeet was getting the best out of me in the PT slot from high intensity sessions to building muscle all whilst becoming leaner. We also were ensuring that I felt good and the shape of my chest and abs were showing which gave me the motivation to push harder.

I came to embody when I was a little lost with my fitness and didn’t know how to make more progress. I have always wanted to do a triathlon and all the research online about different training schedules didn’t work because I simply wasn’t strong enough to do a distance like an Iron Man Triathlon.

When I first came to Embody, I mentioned that I’m looking specifically to improve my strength and conditioning in order to do an Ironman and it seemed like I came to the right place because Embody offers primarily Strength and Conditioning.

I got paired up with a coach who has already done triathlons and knew exactly what to do to get me there. My fitness was assessed and my nutrition was analyzed thoroughly which was a game changer for me to make progress. Not only did they take my diet and nutrition into account, my whole life outside of the gym was taken into account when designing a unique program for me. Fast forward 3 weeks after I joined, I was toeing the line for my first ever triathlon and I'm currently preparing for an Olympic distance triathlon.

My Embody experience was a huge learning curve because I can take everything I've learned with me forward for the rest of my life and keep applying those principles everyday. It was training as well as education about training and nutrition which was exactly what I was looking for. "I started my fitness journey with Embody last year when I moved to Dubai from Singapore as I was looking for a fresh start on my fitness goals. I had in the past put this as a secondary goal but decided that for myself this needed to change as I was overweight as well as having low energy levels.

My main goals from the start has been to lose the excess weight I had gained over the past few years with bad diet habits as well as not really doing enough exercise to sustain this. 

Going forward I needed to change my mind set to a different direction as well as self-motivation to achieve what I want.

"Like many people I struggled to maintain my fitness during lockdown. I tried home workouts etc but could not achieve the same results as using an actual gym and fitness classes. I knew once lockdown was over I needed something radical to get back into shape and to feel fit and healthy again. I knew I wanted to try out a personal trainer having never tried one before. I did a lot of research and wanted to go for a highly reputable, best-in-class PT facility, hence why I chose Embody.

The initial consultation was great. We went through my current activity levels, fitness goals and took measurements so I had a clear understanding of where I was at, and where I needed to get to to reach my targets. The nutritional aspect was really important given that is half of the journey in itself. I had clear daily calorie and macronutrient targets which kept me on track. The therapy assessment was fine, fortunately I didn’t have any muscular or skeletal imbalances/issues.

My nutritionist Danny was great, friendly, very professional and clearly knows his stuff. I have been training for the last 15 years of my life and the core principles of fitness and nutrition which Danny took me through were in line with what I have learnt over the years, with additional tips. The training program was equally as good, I’ve learned new methods of training, new exercises and have developed the weaker parts of my body to build more well-rounded strength. My PT Joshua was fantastic, very motivating, always had high energy, and consistently offered guidance on ways I could improve my form. He helped me push limits, particularly on days when I would enter the gym feeling tired - I always left feeling refreshed and energised.

To anyone considering a programme at Embody, I would 100% recommend going for it. Even though I have been training for the last fifteen years, I was able to learn a lot in the last 10 weeks, push myself past my limits, and get back to where I wanted to be health and fitness wise. "I came across Embody through a friend of mine, he had completed an 8 week transformation at Embody and his results were unbelievable, he suggested I book an appointment to see what I thought, this recommendation has been the best  to date!

My goals were to tone and lose fat, I have always been a member of a local gym and trained to a good standard, so I thought!! However, once I committed to the 12 weeks training program with Embody and met my trainer Bridie,  I realised the error in my ways. During workouts he would always get that extra 10% out of me when, the same 10% that if training on my own I wouldn’t, and that’s the difference. I can honestly say I enjoyed every single session and found myself looking forward to an hour of Tek banter! No question was ever unanswered, silly or to much trouble he was a wealth of knowledge and his enthusiasm was infectious.

A true personal trainer in the purest form, he practises what he preaches and that, for me, is key. He knew what to expect, when and how to deal with it, when to push me and when we needed to take a second. An ideal role model for anyone thinking of getting in to the field and someone I look up to.

“Following an overindulgent Christmas and Festive Period I came into the New Year not looking or feeling in great shape. So instead of doing the customary annual dry January I decided to make a more committed investment to my health and fitness and looked into a transformation programme with Embody Fitness. I started off with a 4-week Winter Blitz programme then continued onto an 8 week programme, training 3 times per week, with my main goals and objectives of reducing my body fat percentage (to lose the gut), getting back into the routine of training and also developing a more focussed approach to my nutrition, which being honest I’ve always overlooked.
