FROM 27% BODY FAT TO 9% – RICHARD'S TRANSFORMATION STORY
Over the course of 9 months, Richard achieved his goal to get down to just 9% body fat, all the way from 27%, with the help of Embody Fitness's experienced personal trainers. He shed an impressive 17kgs of fat in the process and 14kgs of body weight.
"I just couldn't lose fat in the long-term. I could lose a little bit in the short term, but it would always come back."
Despite living an active lifestyle with regular cycling prior to joining Embody Fitness, Richard found it difficult to keep the pounds off.
"Before I came to Embody, I cycled regularly. I hadn't done any strength training for a long time, so my cardiovascular fitness was pretty good, but strength-wise, I would say I was pretty weak. I struggled to get where I wanted, particularly in terms of fat loss. So while I could get fitter by cycling more, I just couldn't lose fat in the long term."
Richard gave his best in the gym for 9 months with the Embody Fitness team and had finally achieved his personal goal to get to 9% body fat.
"I've achieved all the goals I set out to achieve in terms of getting into a low body fat level, and I've gotten a lot stronger", he explained.
